What should I expect from my FREE Fibroscan Appointment at Clinical Research Institute of Ohio?

1. 1. Fasting – with the exception of drinking water – at least 3 hours prior to your appointment is required to get an accurate reading
   2. A non-invasive probe will press against the skin near your rib cage and will measure 3 cm³ volume of liver tissue. The examination volume of the Fibroscan is 100x the size of a typical liver biopsy and minimizes sampling error. 
   3. Results and findings are shared by our provider to diagnose your condition during your visit
